The Milwaukee police salary begins at $42,563. It increases and tops out at the amount of $57,387 yearly.
Officers get two weeks of vacation after completing one year of service. Officers also get an additional 12 paid days off to make up for any missed holidays.
Milwaukee officers also get 15 days of sick leave, health, medical, and dental insurance.

To start off, you must be 21 years of age, American citizen, and have a minimum high school diploma or a Wisconsin GED or equivalent.

Newly hired officers must attend training at the Milwaukee police academy which lasts for twenty three weeks (you will be paid during the training)
Once successful, you will be assigned to a station where you will undergo training in the field.
Officers with the Milwaukee Police have 3 shifts assignments. From 12 AM to 8 AM, 8 AM to 4 Pm, and 4 PM to Midnight. New recruits are usually assigned to either the 4 PM to midnight or the 12 AM to 8 AM watch with rotating days on and off.
There is a 16 month probationary period for officers.
Within 5 years after hire, officers are also required to have one of the following:
a minimum of 60 college credits, or a two year associate degree from a Wisconsin technical college or equivalent from another state.
